CAMPAIGN STOP GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGES ANNOUNCED

Coalition of NGO “Green Network” and “EKOpolis” with support of City of Nis – Council for Environment Protection and City Municipality of Palilula at the press conference in European corner, announced Program of maintenance of campaign STOP TO CLIMATE CHANGES. This multimedia program as a part of world campaign, in meet to the 16th International conference of OUN of change of climate in Mexican city Cancun, will be held in Nis from 02 to 05th December. At the press conference spoke: Sonja Popovic, president of Council for Environment Protection of City of Nis, Prof. Lidija Mina Sarovic, EKOMANart and MMU “Emperor Constantine”, Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula, Dr. Dragana Vukadinovic, Association PLANT and Dragan Vidojkovic, EKOpolis – National coordinator of campaign.

Campaign STOP TO CLIMATE CHANGES is the chance to be reminded once more of the importance of the nature that surround us, but and that relation to the nature make closer to ineluctable fact that our lives directly depended from her. Motto of campaign, that realizing EKOPOLIS Network in 2010 with support of Council for Environmental Protection of City of Nis is Global challenge – Global response – TOMORROW WILL BE ALREADY TO LATE. Although climate changes may look as complex subject there are a variety of simple actions that individuals and communities can take, and so create a variety of diversity. This initiative showed as successful catalyst of constant ecological education, action and changes, which offers the opportunity to tackle worlds problems of protection of environment, as and that individuals or whole communities, devote themselves to their local problems. Local activities includes actions of planting trees, energy saving, dumps cleaning, organization of fairs – festivals, conference for journalists, educational forums, protest walks and campaigns, EKOpolis network has sent call to all citizens to make one more step more in this area, in our City and Region.
